About McGlaughlin Insulation
Richard McGlaughlin didn’t set out to start an insulation company.
But after being laid off from his computer programming job in 1987, Richard – known to friends and family as “Dik” – decided he wanted to set up a business that allowed him to embrace his love of technology while also spending time with his family.
The answer came from the latest in home insulation innovations: polyurethane spray foam. And for the past three decades, McGlaughlin Insulation has been providing homeowners in Bucks and Montgomery counties with products that keep them warm and comfortable.
Eventually, Dik’s son Ben joined him in the business, with Ben taking over ownership of the company following Dik’s passing in 2015.
Ben took a page from his father and went to work learning the finer points of the industry, becoming Goldstar certified by NCFI, the nation’s leading sustainable polyurethane produce company.
Ben continues to run McGlaughlin insulation with the same aim as his dad: to use thirty-plus years of insulation expertise and a wealth of technical knowledge for homeowners and builders on residential, commercial and agricultural projects, and to provide quick, cost-efficient insulation solutions.
An award-winning, NCFI-certified installer, McGlaughlin covers much of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Delaware.
We’ve been honored with the industry excellence award by the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance and recognized for our historic preservation efforts by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s Historic Preservation Office.
